The paper explores the practice of falconry in the Nicopolis and Vidin sanjaks during the 15th and 16th centuries, highlighting its role within the Ottoman feudal system. The study also investigates the regional specifics of falconry, its historical continuity from pre-Ottoman times, and the socioeconomic implications for the local populations involved in this practice.
